Agility

Does your dog like to jump, crawl, or climb? If so, just wait till he learns to weave! The best thing about agility is it works both the mind and body. It gives dogs the ability to think and accomplish tasks mentally by studying and completing new obstacles. You will be amazed how much tackling an A Frame will drain your dog mentally and physically.Dogs have an inbred desire to achieve and complete tasks (like hunting prey – they have to hide, chase, position themselves in a way that will allow them to win), and agility gives them the same sense of accomplishment. It is also a great way to teach your dog confidence, so this is also a great activity for nervous dogs. Agility teaches control, speed, precision, problem solving, and navigation skills.

Any breed is capable of learning and enjoying agility. So if your dog likes to have fun – agility is a great way. We have beginner and advanced agility classes starting every month, so check out the calendar and shoot us an email if you would like to sign up.
