Puppy preschool helps you get off to a great start with your new canine buddy. Puppies shape a huge part of their habits and personality between the ages of 8 to 12 weeks. If you guide them in the right direction, both your life and his will be much happier. Many behavioral problems like chewing, digging and separation anxiety are developed in this early stage of their life.
In puppy preschool class our trainers will cover lots of issues pertaining to puppies: housebreaking, chewing, jumping, digging, play biting, socialization, all the dos and don’ts, as well as basic obedience like Sit, Come, Down and some fun games. Once you your new puppy is enrolled in puppy preschool class, you can come to as often as you like until your puppy reaches 6 months old. Classes will rotate between the following 4 lessons:
- Housebreaking
- Socialization
- Basic commands and games
- Health and safety
Puppy Preschool Requirements
Puppy Age: 8 weeks – 6 months
Vaccines: Many veterinarians differ on their recommendation for how early puppies should start interacting without their full 4 month rounds of vaccines. We recommend first asking your vet’s opinion for your dog. Waiting too long misses the crucial socialization time for puppies.
At the very least we require:
- First round of vaccinations
- Bordetella vaccine
- Canine influenza vaccine
Visit the calendar for the schedule of classes and which subject is covered in that particular class.
